The convention calendar is the single biggest variable in ground transport here, and it swings both the road time and the availability of cars.

Convention weeks are a different city

During a large show, kerbside queues lengthen, hotel driveways congest, and cars book out days in advance. If your team is travelling to a named conference, reserve as early as the flights, not as an afterthought. This is the market where we most often have to tell late callers no, and we would rather say it now than then.

What prearranged actually means here

A prearranged pickup is not a car circling the terminal. The chauffeur is dispatched against your flight and waits in the holding area airports require commercial vehicles to use, then is called forward when you have your bags. That call is usually a text from you, and the few minutes between it and the car appearing is the part travellers most often mistake for lateness.

Hotel pickups on the Strip

A resort address is not a pickup point. The large properties have separate arrival areas for the main entrance, the convention space and the garage, and a guest leaving a session will come out of the one nearest the hall. Put the entrance in the booking notes and most of the friction disappears.

Put the flight number on the booking

It is the difference between a car that follows your aircraft and one that follows a clock. With it, a delay costs you nothing and nobody has to call anyone. Without it, a two-hour delay becomes two hours of billable waiting — the single most common surprise on a ground transport invoice.
